Crozant

An amazing  medieval village, in the middle of France

The location of Crozant is believed to have been the house of prehistoric life.

But it's history really starts at the Xth century when a Fortress was built. This one became a Castle during the XIIIth century. It's that castle that is still in place as ruines today.

Crozant is in the "Impresionnism Valley" visited by a lot of well-known painters such as Claude Monet,

like this word "Creuse Valley" painted

in 1889. But also, those landscape have

attracted orther artists such as

the writer George Sand and

 Maurice Leblanc.

Impresionnist are part of Crozant's

Culture as the village has a long history

with painters with the "School of Crozant".
